Lara Henderson is a book artist, printmaker and designer based in Providence, RI. She is a member of the faculty UMass Dartmouth & Brown University and has also taught at RISD and Brown University.

She prints out of AS220, a community printshop located in downtown Providence. She has her BFA in Graphic Design from UMass Dartmouth and her MFA in Book Arts/Printmaking at the University of the Arts. She managed the AS220 Printshop, a community printmaking studio from 2011 to 2014.

In 2015 she was an awarded a fellowship to attend Fab Academy, a six-month digital fabrication and creative coding intensive based on MIT’s popular rapid prototyping course How to Make (Almost) Anything. Upon completing the course, she volunteered at the Fab Lab at Haystack Mountain School of Crafts. In 2018, she completed a three month intensive in web development.

Henderson has given many presentations of her work, most notably at PS1 as part of the New York Art Book Fair and at the Southern Graphics Council Conference. Her books are in multiple collections, including the Philadelphia Free Library, the American Philosophical Society and RISD.
